The St. Trinity Cloister of Mercy in Saraktash settlement was founded on the place of a former common parish of the Holy Protecting Veil (the Intercession), revived in 1989 after long years of a godless power. Then the school of catechism, the House of Mercy for lonely sick aged people was opened at the church. Children from children's homes were accepted in the family of the Priest for bringing up. There are the House of Mercy, the Orthodox Gymnasium, the School of Theology, the school of catechism; the Sisters' community , the Community of nuns in the Cloister now. There is a sewing workshop, a bakery, a small farm, and 70 children grow and are brought up in the big family of Priest Nikolai Stremsky.
At the Cloister of Mercy the Saint Trinity cathedral is being built which
will
have two storeys: the lower temple with the central altar of saint martyr
Simeon of
Verkhotursk (the right chapel is that of saint Sergius of Radonezh, the
left chapel -
that of saint martyr Makary of Orenburg); the upper temple with the
central altar
of the Holy Trinity (the right chapel is that of the icon of Our Lady
of Kazan,
the left chapel - that of saint martyrs Nichals II, the empress
Alexandra with their
children and of all the new martyrs and confessors of Russia). The Cloister of Mercy is searching donors to continue the construction
of the Holy Trinity
cathedral. Plastering, painting and other decoration work are under way
now in the three-altar
upper temple of the cathedral. According to the design project it is
planned to cover the walls of the
upper temple with murals in the Byzantine style. Such works are very
expensive.
To do the murals on the upper floor of the cathdral 152000000 roubles
are needed
(3800 square metres of mural painting with the price of 4000 roubles per
1 square metre). Moreover, the Cloister has arrears in taxes and communal services
amounting to
1300000 roubles.
